PGI Crete

The vineyards of Crete are planted
on the northern part of the island,
protected from the warm African winds by
the mountains that crisscross the island
from east to west. The unique Cretan
ecosystem provides the ideal environment
for the production of wine. The most
popular grapes are Vilana, Kotsifali,
Mandilaria, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Liatico
and Chardonnay

Tasting Note

Thalia Red is made with Syrah and Kotsifali grapes with a ruby colour
and an attractive fresh nose that opens up to reveal ripe red fruit, spices and earthy
aromas. Round, with well-structured tannins and good acidity, great presence in
mouth and cherry fruit flavour leading to a long finish.

Food Pairing

Enjoy it with roasted, grilled or casseroled red meat and matured soft
cheese. Best served at a temperature of 18° C.
