Region
PDO Amyndeon,
The privately owned vineyards are located at an altitude of 700 m, covering a total surface of 16.5 ha, in the municipality of Ag. Panteleimonas, within the Amyndeon PDO region. The soil here is sandy and poor, giving the possibility to produce wines of high finesse and rich aromatic character. The climate of the area is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, while the presence of four lakes makes the microclimate milder and suitable for the cultivation of white varieties.Tasting Note
The bright color and the mousse with the persistent bubbles are a prelude to the explosive aromas of strawberry and cherry of the nose, characteristic of the Amundeon Xinomavro, while the yeasty notes from the secondary fermentation add aromatic complexity and finesse. Softer in the mouth, thanks to its rounder acidity, the 2013 Akakies Sparkling shows the same refreshing character, the power and the playful temperament that made have this wine so popular.
Food Pairing
Excellent pair with spicy dishes of the Asian cuisine, Mediterranean dishes based on vegetables and oily fish, like salmon. It can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or after a meal.Awards And Accolades
