PGI Imathia,
The vineyard lies on an altitude of 280-300 meters and has a total surface of 58 ha (40.3 of which are planted). It is divided into 40 parts based on the soil properties, the relief and the different varieties-clones. The vineyard’s soil is representative of the different soil types of the Naoussa zone, dominated by sandy clay to sandy clay loam soils. The climate of the region is characterized by abundant rain and snow during winter and spring, and dry conditions in summer.

Tasting Note

Produced in a great vintage, the 2010 Kir-Yianni Estate has it all: Complex red fruit aromas, where the character of one of the best Xinomavros of the last years is entwined with the opulent Merlot, powerful, assertive, yet soft-textured tannins, volume, full body and a long aging potential. This is one of the finest expressions of this successful blend.

Food Pairing

Full-bodied and balanced combining the elegance of Merlot with the strong elements of Xinomavro and can virtually match any food choice.
