Region

PDO Amyndeon,

The privately owned vineyards are located at an altitude of 700 m, covering a total surface of 16.5 ha, in the municipality of Ag. Panteleimonas, within the Amyndeon PDO region. The soil here is sandy and poor, giving the possibility to produce wines of high finesse and rich aromatic character. The climate of the area is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, while the presence of four lakes makes the microclimate milder and suitable for the cultivation of white varieties.

Tasting Note

The 2013 Akakies, has a vivid colour with blue hints. On the nose it shows impressive juicy aromas of strawberry, cherry and flowers, while on the palate the intense red fruit character is balanced by the round acidity and underpinned by the long, fruity finish.

Food Pairing

It can be enjoyed alone as an aperitif or matched perfectly with roasted chicken, dishes based on salmon or tuna and vegetarian dishes of the mediterranean or asian cuisine.
